    Reincarnation for Jodo Shinshu Buddhism is not as commonly believed, that is, being reborn to live a life again. For me personally, reincarnation is that the remains of my body will become part of the earth again, possibly becoming part the soil that gives nutrients to a flower. Or a tree that helps with the watershed and makes the air cleaner.

    I hope that your dear sister can find peace. She wil live on in your memory, as well as those who read this post. My best to you all.

      I think your definition of reincarnation–the atoms of our bodies becoming part of other living matter is the more common modern definition. It doesn’t seem to be the answer my sister is looking for.
